Name: Ru Warner
"It's hard to put into words how much I appreciate Ru Warner. Having been hanging out with each other on a weekly basis for over a decade, we've pretty much done it all together - especially Ibiza! My Balearic partner-in-crime and a man with an amazing taste/passion for music, its needless to say - his selection is on point."
Occupation: Animation Producer @ Th1ng
Most useful Spanish phrase: "Vale, Vale"
All-time favourite party experience in Ibiza: 2007: My our second trip to Ibiza. Going back to the villa, we had a great crew of friends and had learnt some lessons from our first visit - this time we took out our own music system! Equipped with CDJ's and a mixer, we set up poolside and had a week long villa party with all our favourite people. We also had none other than Leo The Amateur suppling a perfect soundtrack.
As well as the many great villa parties, DC10 has never disappointed and I have some amazing memories of dancing in the sun. The 2009 closing party was definitely up there with my all time great Ibiza parties, the outside area was open and Clive Henry was spinning amazing records as we arrived - the sun was shinning and super hot. Then Villalobos, Pedro and Raresh played back to back as the sun went down and later Jamie Jones played a killer set inside... He played Tensnake - Around The House, a big favorite of mine.
All in all though, there are just too many amazing party times.
Favourite place to chill in the Balearics: Cala Xarraca in the north of the island. It's a bit more chilled than Benirras and it has a nice local feel. It also has a little Chiriguito that serves beautiful fresh grilled fish and the sea is ideal for snorkelling.
If stranded in the Balearics for the rest of my life I would... Be living the dream. I'd learn how to cook all thing Spanish, spend a lot of time with the family on the beach and every now and then sneak off and find a rave. All with a big smile on my face.
My luxury item would be... A beautiful villa in the north the island with a great sound system.
The book i'd take would be... A spanish phrase book - I have a lot to learn.
